This workshop is designed for those with a basic understanding of digital photography who wish to improve their skills as nature photographers. Through PowerPoint and discussions, students explore techniques to photograph small subjects such as flowers, insects, & frogs. Tips for creating dramatic landscape photos and for locating, attracting, approaching, and capturing wildlife images will be covered. Emphasis is placed on image design to include subject selection, camera placement, lighting, equipment, filters, depth of field, composition and perspective, and graphic design. Following the field trip, participants will review their work and select samples to share with classmates. During the visit to Ladew Gardens, the instructor will spend time with each student. This class is focused on the use of digital Single Lens Reflex (D-SLR) cameras. Students are responsible for their own transportation & entrance fee to the gardens.
